Understanding Islam And Muslim

Understanding Islam And MuslimIslam isn’t a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. Islam is both a faith and a method of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and kindness, and the majority have nothing to do. Now let’s Understanding Islam And Muslim.

What do Muslims Believe?
Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God; at the Angels created by Him; in the prophets through whom His revelations were brought to humanity; on the Day of Judgement and individual accountability for actions; at God’s complete authority over human destiny and in life after death. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets beginning with Adam and including Nuh, Ibrahim, Ishmael, Ishak, Yakub, Yusuf, Ayyub, Musa, Harun, Dawud, Sulayman, Yunus, and Isa, Salla Allahu ʿalayhi wa- ala alihi wa-Sallam. But Allah final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that’s gone before was revealed via Jibril to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam.

Who’s Muhammad?
Muhammad was born in Makkah in the year 570. Since he grew up, he became known for his truthfulness, generosity, and sincerity, so that he had been sought after for his ability to arbitrate in disputes.

Muhammad was of a deeply religious character and had long detested the decadence of his society. It became his habit to meditate from Time to Time at the Cave of Hira near the summit of Jabal al-Nur, the ‘Mountain of Light’ near Makkah.

While engaged in a meditative retreat, Muhammad received his first revelation from God. Is called the Quran.
Once he started to recite the words he heard from Jibril and to preach the truth that God had revealed to him, he and his small band of followers suffered bitter persecution, which grew so fierce that in the year 622 God gave them the command to emigrate. This event, the Hijra, ‘migration’, in marks the start of the Muslim calendar.

After several decades, the Prophet and his followers could return to Makkah, where they forgave their enemies and established Islam definitively. Before the Prophet died at Age 63, the greater part of Arabia was Muslim, and within a century of his death, Islam had spread to Spain in the West and as far East as China.

How can the spread of Islam affect the world?
One of the factors for its rapid and peaceful spread of Islam was the simplicity of its doctrine – Islam calls for faith in only One God worthy of worship. It also repeatedly instructs man to use his powers of intellect and monitoring.
In a couple of years, fantastic civilisations and universities were flourishing, for according to the Prophet, ‘seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim man and woman’. The synthesis of Eastern and Western ideas and new thought with old, brought about great advances in medicine, physics, mathematics, astronomy, geography, architecture, art, literature, and history. Many crucial systems like algebra, the Arabic numerals, and also the idea of the zero (vital to the advancement of mathematics), were transmitted to medieval Europe from Islam.

What’s the Qur’an?
The Quran is a list of the exact words revealed by God to the Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel. It was memorised by Muhammad and then dictated to his Companions, and written down. Not one word of its 114 chapters, Suras, has been changed over time so that the Quran is in every detail the unique and miraculous text that was revealed to Muhammad. Belief in the sunnah is part of the faith.
