70 Major Sins In Islam List

70 Major Sins In Islam ListThe significant sins are such acts that have been prohibited by Allah in the Quran and by His Messenger Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam at the Sunnah ( the practice of the Prophet), and that have been made apparent by the actions of their earliest righteous creation of Muslims, the Companions of the Prophet Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala says:

“If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise].” (An-Nisa 4:31)

So with this verse, Allah Most High has ensured the Garden of Paradise to those who prevent the significant sins. And Allah Most High also says:

“And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive.”(Al-Shra 42:37)
“Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.”(Al-Najm 53:32)

The Messenger of Allah Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “The five [daily] prayers, Friday to Friday and Ramadan to Ramadan make atonement for what has happened since the previous one when major sins have been avoided.” It is therefore very important to determine exactly what the greatest vices, technically called “the major sins” (Kaba’ir), are so that Muslims should avoid them.”

Because many are more severe than others, there is a gradation among them. We realize that the Prophet Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has comprised SHIRK (linking somebody or some thing with Allah) one of them, and by the text of the Qur’an we are aware that somebody who devotes SHIRK doesn’t his sin be forgiven and will stay in Hell eternally.
